acrylic versus wood shells?

whats the differance in sound between acrilic/vistalite shells and wood shells for drums?

wood shells will have a warmer, more natural tone than acrylic, but i think it mostly depends on your heads

whare can i buy a drum wrap please help?

i have a 5 piece ludwig drum kit and it has a high gloss black cover on them what kind of shops would sell cheap ,flexible thin plastic

Rockenwraps, drummaker.com, drumfoundry.com, jammin sams. Be prepared to spend at least $300 though.

They all sell drum wrap. If you want something that isn’t necessarily for drums that you want to do, then Google pvc laminates or plastic laminates.

I’ve even heard of a guy wrapping drums with laminate countertop covers from Home depot. He found one that looked like granite.

There’s also a dude on Ebay that sells wrap that goes over existing wrap. it’s thin and it’s very sparkly, he sells them for about $60 and it’s enough to do a full set with some left over.
