i have been drumming for a few years and am looking into buying a new kit…unfortunatley im not very good with makes lol…im looking at buying the “ludwig LC125 combo” or “yamaha rydeen kit” which one is better…my understanding is that ludwig is a good make??
If you like a good warm sound, go with Yamaha. The Maple shells project well with out excessive over ring. Check out musiciansfriend.com, they have that set for under 500 dollars, including stands. The problem with guitar center is they usually charge extra for stands.
I am considering buying the yamaha DD55 drum machine…….?

Anyone have any good or bad things to say about it.i have seen clips of people playing it and i think it sounds good for what i want and the reviews seem to be all for it too.i just want it for messing about really and putting down drums tracks.nothing serious at all.just for fun.i was gonna buy a cheap one cause i really didnt want anything fancy but that has caught my eye now and think it would do grand for what i want.anything positive or negative to say about it appriciated.thank you
I really have no knowledge of this particular device. However, since you don’t want it for anything serious, then I would say it should fit your needs fine. If you were looking to use this in a band, I’d go with something that’s a bit more high end.
What I would recommend is to go to a guitar shop that has one and see if you can try it out or rent it. this way you get a chance to see what it’s really like before you buy it.
